Ms. Robin Malasky
...
Ms. Robin Malasky
Ms. Malasky was born and raised outside of Boston and has been living in Florida since she graduated from Skidmore College with a Social Work degree in 1989.
In order to pursue a career in Speech/Language Pathology, Ms. Malasky earned a Masters in Education with a concentration in Exceptional Student Education from Florida Atlantic University in 1997.
Robin has worked with both Adults and Children with Communication Disorders, but her passion lies in working with geriatric adults with speech/language and swallowing disorders.
Ms. Malasky stopped working in October 2004, when she was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer to focus on her health and family.
Her cancer was discovered when she was 37 after a routine mammogram and with no family history.
Since Robin's diagnosis, she has become passionate about helping others who are not as fortunate as she was and do not have the support she had while going through her illness.
Ms. Malasky currently serves on the Board of Temple Israel and has been co-chair of School Teams for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure for two years.
Last year Robin was honored as a local "Komen Warrior" by the Komen Cancer Research Foundation.
Robin is married to Steve Malasky and they have two children.
