Mr. Malasky's practice focuses on antitrust and trade regulation law, complex business litigation, federal administrative law, trade association law, legislative affairs/governmental relations, e-commerce issues and agricultural law.His antitrust and trade regulation practice covers a wide range of federal and state antitrust and consumer protection laws, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, distribution arrangements, refusals to deal, monopolization and deceptive trade practices.He has litigated numerous antitrust and trade regulation cases and has counseled clients on all aspects of those laws.He represents clients regularly before the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.

Mr. Malasky serves as General Counsel for a major national trade association in the entertainment industry, and helped form a joint venture to enable retailers to become effective competitors in the lawful digital distribution of entertainment products over the Internet.He also represents several other major trade associations and a number of important members of those organizations.He has twice served as Special Outside Litigation Counsel to Montgomery County, Maryland, in the largest consumer protection actions ever initiated by that County.

Additionally, Mr. Malasky has handled a wide variety of business and commercial litigation, including trademark, copyright, Lanham Act, business torts and contract issues on behalf of clients in numerous federal and state courts.He also represents clients on Capitol Hill in connection with legislation pending before Congress, and regularly appears on behalf of clients before federal agencies and departments, as well as before the federal trial and appellate courts, in connection with administrative law adjudicative and rule-making proceedings.In recent years, Mr. Malasky has handled cutting-edge legal issues for a number of companies involved in electronic commerce over the Internet.

Mr. Malasky's agricultural law practice includes work before the U.S. Department of Agriculture, as well as litigation and appeals in the federal courts, on behalf of agricultural producers, cooperatives, warehouses, and agribusiness across the United States.
