Oviatt Marine welcomes Jim Maier as manager to our Kent Island office.Jim joined the yachting industry right after graduation from Penn State University.His career has led him to be a prominent broker in both South Florida and the Chesapeake Bay area.Jim prides himself in his hands on approach to customer service so it is not uncommon to see him in the engine room changing oil, or installing a new piece of electronics for one of his clients.His knowledge and expertise extends to vessel operations and he has captained vessels of all types and sizes from Maine to Key West, and out in the Bahamas.This hands on approach and practical experience make Jim an invaluable source of information when it comes to outfitting a new yacht.His Clients also appreciate the patient and comprehensive approach he exhibits when teaching them how to operate their new yacht.
