After the ceremony, Mahlie, who served with the 5th Special Forces Group (ABN) in Vietnam, spoke about his feelings on Veterans' Day.

"There will always be veterans.Whether it be peace time or war, we'll always be around," he said, "And we have a new kind of veteran coming out of this whole thing over in Iraq.
