The Topeka PC Users Club wishes to express their thanks to Rick Mahany for his past service as our Webmaster.Rick Mahany, long time club member, has been the TPCUC webmaster for approximately eight years.However, this past year Rick had limited time to spend on the website as a volunteer so he soon realized he would have to give it up.

Even though Rick didn't have enough time to volunteer for the upkeep of the TPCUC website, he did want to see the web site continue.Rick made a commitment to work with several Board members to learn Hypertext Markup Language (HTML).

Rick isn't getting out of the computer business.Rick spends his days helping veterans at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center learn computer skills and he has designed a number of websites.

The topic for the near future for the SIG will be Dynamic HTML.We will be watching some instructional videos on this topic.A little bit of programming knowledge will be helpful to understand this material.Understanding the basic concepts of event driven programming would be even more desirable.

We've managed to shoehorn the club's projector and a small screen into Bob's computer room so we all can see what's going on.Topics for the SIG vary widely.We've discussed everything from problems with modems and CD-ROM drives to digital camera's.
