Professor Hadi Mahabadi, born in 1946, received his degree in chemical engineering in 1971 in Tehran. He went to Canada where he received a Ph.D. in reactor design. He has invented a formula on polymers, named after him. He returned to Iran after the Shah's overthrow and was appointed chairman of the School of Chemistry at Sharif University of Technology. Prof. Mahabadi has authored some 100 scientific articles and has 30 patented inventions. An internationally distinguished scientist, he became a member of the National Council of Resistance in 1982 and is the Council's representative in Canada.
