Jerry Magovern of Musco reviewed the project design, which he said would evenly light the field with almost no spillover into unwanted areas.Four light towers would be installed, using the company's newest energy-efficient system to light both the football field and the surrounding running track. The system would be under a full warranty for 25 years, including one full replacement of lamps after 5,000 hours, which he estimated to be in about 12 years.Magovern said that the warranty combined with the energy efficiency of the system would keep the district's operating costs to a minimum. He assured officials that his company is one of the leading sports lighting companies internationally, having provided lights for such venues as Shea and Yankee Stadiums and last year's Olympics in Greece.
