As vice president of development, David B. Magnuson is responsible for raising funds to support the charitable and benevolent mission of Presbyterian Homes. In 2003, more than $7 million dollars were spent on its Geneva Charitable Programs including Neighborhood Homes Program, Neighborhood Homes Without Walls, Adult Day Services, Endowed Bed Program and Benevolent Life Care Program. These programs are supported entirely by donor contributions and income from endowments.Resident fees are never used to support our charitable programs.
"We nurture an environment that fosters generosity, volunteer service, stewardship and relationships that are rewarding to both our donors and those we serve," says Magnuson."Only through relationships built on trust over time do people come to understand the life-changing impact our mission has had on the well-being of older adults for more than a century."
In 2003, Presbyterian Homes' benevolent programs served more than 300 adults.
Magnuson joined Presbyterian Homes in 1999 as vice president of development from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois, where he served as senior vice president for institutional advancement with responsibility for fund raising, public relations and alumni relations.Magnuson completed his undergraduate studies at Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota and received a Masters in Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
