  Frank Madden, peacefully, after a brief illness at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto on March 26, 2003, at the age of 42.
  
  Frank was born and grew up in Sussex. After graduating from Sussex High School in 1979, he continued his education in Toronto graduating from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1983. He remained in Toronto working for several years at Tarragon Theatre before becoming the Administrative Director for the Faculty Association of the University of Toronto, where he has been employed for the past 16 years. Frank was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
  
  Frank will be lovingly remembered by his partner Brad, his parents, Thomas and Theresa Madden of Sussex, six sisters; Yvonne Wheeler and her husband Wayne of Sussex, Mary Murray and her husband Paul of Penobsquis, Jeannette Lingley and her husband Brent of Ottawa, Jackie Friars and her husband Kevin of Sussex, Denise Morrell and her husband James of Burlington, and Nicole Madden and fiancé Dale Richardson of Saint John, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

  Thanks must go to Frank Madden for guiding his less adept colleagues through four major software changes and two major hardware changes.In addition, Frank handled upgrading our computer hardware, taking in his stride two computer thefts, the introduction of a new printer and a network whose atypical workings have caused periodic conundrums for office staff.Frank is also responsible for the Association's fledgling presence on the Web - enabling us to post Council Agendas in advance of meetings as well as UTFA newsletters - and for mounting our membership database on the InMagic system, which will increase the accuracy of information regarding our membership.

  As many of you may know, UTFA's office director, Frank Madden, has been seriously ill with acute pancreatitis and associated complications for the past several weeks.He continues to be on life support in intensive care. (His family has requested that visitations not be encouraged at this time.) Frank is a highly regarded member of our staff.We all pray for his full recovery and look forward to his return.Please note that, as a result of Frank's illness, UTFA's office is understaffed.
