Erin Katherine Madden

Miss Indiana State Fair 2002 is Erin Katherine Madden, the second representative of Johnson County to reign as the Indiana State Fair Queen in the 44 year history of the contest. [Kimberly Noble was the first in 1988.]

A 2002 graduate of Roncalli High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, Erin was an honor roll student and a member of the French Club, National Honor Society, liturgy team choir and Promise to Keep - A group that speaks to children about chastity.

While at Roncalli, Erin was active in her school's Fine Arts Department, winning numerous solo vocal competitions.She was also president of the Drama Club, a three-year member of the show choir and participated in school musicals.

Erin, age 18, has performed with the Dance Refinery Performing Dance Groups and is currently a member of Artists in Motions.In addition, she has participated in several Indianapolis community theatre productions and plans to attend Millikin University in the fall to major in drama and vocal music.

The daughter of Tom and Terri Madden of Greenwood, Indiana, Erin will visit approximately 30 county fairs, festivals and queen pageants this summer promoting the 2002 Indiana State Fair before serving as Official Hostess of the annual event, August 7-18, 2002.
