CAMBRIDGE , MA , Nov. 14 , 2000 -- Grace Performance Chemicals , a unit of W. R. Grace & Co. ( NYSE : GRA ) , has named Alistair Macdonald as North American Sales Manager of its Construction Products' Masonry Products business.Macdonald will be responsible for implementing the strategic initiatives focused on sales growth to paver and segmental retaining wall producers and also increasing the market penetration of the DRY-BLOCK system.
Alistair's experience selling a broad product range on two continents provides a keen understanding of customer needs.He brings a focus on long-term business relationships yet has the capability to develop the exciting growth opportunities that exist in the masonry industry , said Jeremy P. M. Gray , General Manager of Masonry Products.
Most recently , Macdonald was the Market Development Manager for the Specialty Mortar Additives business based in Slough , UK.He joined Grace in 1988 , and has held positions in sales and product management within the waterproofing and concrete product businesses.
Macdonald is a 1986 graduate of Dundee College of Technology , Scotland with an honors degree in Civil Engineering.He and his wife Lesley , and their three children are relocating to Massachusetts.
