Duane A. Maas, Director of Technology duane@mcservices.com Duane has been using computers since buying an Apple II in 1979. He has intensiveexperience with the Macintosh, Windows, and Unix operating systems. He graduatedfrom UW-Madison in Chemical Engineering and then began his career as a plasticsmanufacturing engineer. His knowledge of computers, led him to a job as MaterialsManager for a division at Union Carbide. Furthering his computer career, Duanebegan his role as information Center Manager at Montgomery Ward. From there heworked at Apple Computer as a System Engineer, National Account Executive andDistrict Sales Manager. Duane has written and taught courses for Microsoft, Apple,and Filemaker.

Engineer Duane Maas, of the MDOT Transportation Center in Cass City, said when the crane got too close to the power line, electricity arced from the electrical wires to the construction equipment and damaged a transformer, causing many Caseville area residents and businesses to lose power.
