With over thirty years of experience as an inventor, pioneer, and racer, Frank Lupo, owner of Dynamic Converters and Pro-Formance Transmissions undoubtedly has one of the most prolific careers in the high performance automatic transmission business.
Frank built his first transmission at the age of fifteen at the family business, Fairbanks Racing Automatics in Stamford, Connecticut, and owned and raced his first race car at age sixteen.
This race car, which he still owns today, is an Ex- Strickler - Jenkins Dodge factory aluminum hemi racecar and one of fifty originally built in 1964.Not only has Frank's Dodge won class at numerous NHRA Events, but also the car served as a test bed for many industry breakthroughs.Frank's Dodge had seen the likes of the Clutch-Flite, Clutch- Turbo, (8)eight and (9) nine inch Chrysler Torque Converters, the first finned deep aluminum oil pan, and cast aluminum valve body.
Throughout his career, Frank Lupo, has been held in high regard by his peers in the Automotive Industry.In 1973 Frank was a founding member of the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association, Eastern Chapter.Frank and his father, Joe Lupo, received the runner-up award for the best new product at the 1976 SEMA Show.

In 1985, Frank Lupo, with the help of friends and family, started Dynamic Transmission Inc., formally of 143 Adeline street New Haven, Connecticut.After fifteen years of an unfriendly tax environment in New Haven, Connecticut, Frank moved his Dynamic operation to a new home in the heart of the East Coast Drag Racing Country, tax-free Newark, Delaware.
Frank introduced his high tech, Pro-Formance Transmission line, boasting the finest components available and the ultimate in transmission technology.
Through the years Frank Lupo and family have set a standard for the Automotive Industry, from the inception of funny cars to the Pro-Mods of today.
