Some Festival Miami highlights include performances by the Ramsey Lewis Trio, featuring three-time Grammy winning pianist Ramsey Lewis; guitarist Manuel Barrueco; Maria Schneider and the Frost Concert Jazz Band conducted by Dante Luciani; jazz vocalist Carmen Lundy joins the Frost Jazz Vocal I Ensemble, Larry Lapin director; Cuartetango String Quartet joined by tango dancers on the stage; the world premiere of David Maslanska's Trombone Concerto by the Frost Wind Ensemble, Gary Green conductor; the elegant "Les Musiciens" Paris Trio, the Naples Philharmonic Baroque Soloists; the Bergonzi Quartet; pianists Kevin Kenner and Grzegorz Frankowski for an evening of Piazolla and Chopin; two-time Grammy winner Hansel y la Orchestra Calle Ocho; the swinging Brazilian Nosso Trio; and trail blazing blue grass with the Casey Driessen Trio.
