Lubos Lukasik has been appointed Acting Director for Europe of TCI.He is Director of the Company Competitiveness Division (CCD) at CzechInvest, the national Business Development and Investment Agency for the Czech Republic.His division is responsible for design and delivery of SME support programmes throughout the country with a particular focus on innovation and competitiveness.
Lubos Lukasik
Lubos was responsible for the development of the Czech National Cluster Policy that was approved by the government in 2003.Since 2004 his division has been involved in promoting clusters and managing cluster support programmes funded through the Ministry of Industry and Trade structural funds programme.To date over 1000 individuals from the public and private sector have received training and support through these programmes, and over 30 clusters are at different stages of development in the Czech Republic.Czech clusters are active in both traditionally strong sectors of the Czech Republic such as engineering and in new areas such as nanotechnology and biotechnology. Lubos has an MBA from DePaul University Chicago and an MSc from the Civil Engineering Faculty of Brno Technical University.He is currently studying for an LLM - Master of Corporate Law at Nottingham Trent University, UK.He is 29 years old.
