Milwaukee County Sheriff's Capt. Chris Luedke said the department will team up with other law enforcement agencies on tasks ranging from cracking down on hawkers of counterfeit Harley wares to shutting down freeway ramps if traffic gets too congested.

Ticketing Harley riders for violating noise ordinances is one thing Luedke doesn't anticipate.

"Harley-Davidsons are loud," he said."It's just a fact of life."

‘‘Harley-Davidsons are loud," he said. ‘‘It's just a fact of life."

Another sheriff's supervisor, Capt. Chris Luedke, said that only six people were arrested at Sunday's lakefront event.

"That's a lot less than we have for a Cubs or a White Sox game at Miller Park," he said.

Luedke said that the poor reception for Elton John was a blessing in disguise for traffic control, because, "Instead of having 200,000 people leave at once," thousands of people began trickling out before the concert's end.

"I think 99 percent of it was by the grace of God," said Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department Capt. Chris Luedke.

Nonetheless, authorities there planned for extra patrols and public safety reminders for more than a year before the event.

"A lot of it was making a lot of community contacts and educating the people sharing the road with motorcycles," he said.
