   An author, teacher, curriculum and education writer, and former national magazine editor, Susan Ludwig has been writing for most of her life.Her publishing credits are a testament to her expertise.She is the author of three books and two plays for children.Her most recent books include Differentiated Activities in Middle School Math (Corwin Publishing, 2007), Exam Prep ACT (Que Publishing, 2006), Score Higher on the ACT (Que Publishing, 2006), Exam Cram ACT (Que Publishing, 2005) and an adaptation for children of Shakespeare's Two Gentlemen of Verona (Ed Con Publishing, 2004).She is also the author of the best-selling teacher's resource, 24 Ready-to-Go Genre Book Reports (Scholastic Professional Books, 2002).In addition to books, Ludwig has two children's plays to her credit: Explore and Explain: A Play About Spanish Explorers and the New World (Discovery Enterprises, 2003) and This is Our New Country: A Play About Citizenship (Discovery Enterprises, 2003).She is currently at work on a young adult novel, Doing Time.
   
   Ms. Ludwig's numerous magazine, anthology, and periodical clips have appeared in a wide range of publications, including Today's Parent, Wonder Years, Everything Pregnancy, Teaching PreK-8, and Intersession Magazine.Her column, "Ask a Teacher," has appeared in Today's Parent for the past seven years.Ms. Ludwig is also a contributing writer for Duke University's quarterly Gifted and Talented newsletter, where she writes about education, schools, and curriculum issues, and is the former editor of SWIM magazine (now USMS Swimming).
   
   Ms. Ludwig holds an MA in Education from Pennsylvania State University, and she has taught and written curriculum extensively for students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults.She was named Teacher of the Year at South Florida's Western School, where she taught for five years.While teaching, she wrote and presented the professional development workshop, "Teaching Writing in the Elementary Grades" to groups of elementary school teachers in various Florida schools.
   
   At present, Ms. Ludwig lives with her family in the Midwest and works with teachers on the community college level.She also develops reading, math, and writing curricula for various education publishers.Ms. Ludwig is a Regional Advisor for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and an instructor with the Institute of Children's Literature..
