Presenter: Dr. Aidong Lu — Dr. Aidong Lu is an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at UNC Charlotte.She received her degree from Purdue University.Her areas of interest are volume visualization, illustrative visualization, and applications.
Dr. Lu has been named an Early Career Principal Investigator in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and High-Performance Networks by the U.S. Department of Energy.The principal goal of this program is to identify exceptionally talented applied mathematicians, computer scientists, and high-performance networks researchers early in their careers and assist and facilitate the development of their research programs.Dr. Lu heads the effort providing 3D visual analysis of multiple, time dependent pollutant fields for the Visual Grid project.
