    Peter discussed the background of the by-laws saying that the current version incorporated elements of the old by-laws, parts of by-laws from other organizations and some standard boiler plate language for non-profit organization by-laws.

    One of the remaining questions was the definition of a quorum for meetings.It was decided to define a quorum as six (6) members.

    With this one change there was a motion to accept the by-laws which was voted on and passed unanimously.

    Peter will send the revised by-laws to Dr. Starr.

    Dr. Peter Love, Director of Programs, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wesleyan University.He received both his Masters in Public Health and his Doctorate in Special Education from the University of Connecticut.Dr. Love has over twenty-five years experience in the field of disabilities and is a published author, lecturer, and adjunct faculty member at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine.His particular areas of interest in the field of disabilities include public health issues and disability, ethical dilemmas in disability service provision and the social competence of people with cognitive disabilities.At the Allen Institute-Center for Innovative Learning, Dr. Love is responsible for oversight of all academic programs in addition to teaching the Learning and the Brain class in which students develop an understanding of learning disabilities and create a Personal Learning Profile for themselves.
