In November 2006, Peter Love made a rousing presentation to the Swinburne membership about the origins of WorkChoices and the HEWRRs.He highlighted the erosion of education as a common good and spoke of the inception of a tertiary education marketplace.Peter concludes with the incisive observation that: , "I suggest comrades that you all think about what it is that we have in common with the building workers, the manufacturing workers and everybody else; that they're out to individualise us, screw us, and at the same time rip the guts out of what's common and decent about our community.", , The PDF transcript of Peter's presentation is here.We highly recommend it to you.Peter is a politics lecturer at Swinburne and past president of the Swinburne Branch.
