    Rev. Love served as a Deacon for over ten years before accepting God's call for him to preach in February of 1998.He was licensed in September, 2000; and ordained by Pastor Edmond as a minister of Second Baptist Church of Elgin in April, 2004.

    Rev. Love has worked tirelessly in the social service field for over 20 years after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern Illinois University.He is currently employed with the DuPage County Senior Services Agency as an Elder Abuse Specialist.In 2001, he was recognized as Elder Abuse Specialist of the Year for the state of Illinois.

    Rev. Love feels his primary objective as a minister is to help people.He strongly believes God has anointed him with the ability to teach His word, and he feels obligated to support and encourage believers in the Church body.He is also currently enrolled in the Moody Bible Institute, actively pursuing a Master's degree in Biblical Studies.

    Rev. Love teaches the adult Sunday school class at Second Baptist."Study to show thyself approved a workman that need not be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth."(2 Tim 2:15) He and his wife Brenda also lead the Couples Ministry.

    Rev. and Mrs. Love have been married for 24 blessed years, and they have three beautiful daughters: Erika, Camille and Candice.
