Sandra F. Long is the first woman Deputy Secretary to the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED).Her accomplishments in finance, operations and business development made her one of "Maryland's Top 100 Women" for 2001.Long is a member of the Network 2000 Women's Leadership Organization and serves on the boards of the UMBC Research Park Corporation, Maryland Aviation Commission, and Maryland Commission for Women, and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland.
Deputy Secretary Long's leadership has been instrumental in the promotion of Maryland as the state where you "Come to Work and Stay to Play," especially as Maryland ranks #2 and #3 in the nation in terms of African American and women-owned business creation.Congratulations, Sandra!
