His client base has included ABB and Lockheed Martin, as well as a broad range of telecom entities including AFC, Adtran, Deutsche Telekom and Nortel Networks. Specializing in government and international markets, Mr. Long has directed and participated in over 100 mergers, acquisitions and industrial teaming agreements.

In 1996, Mr. Long founded Oaklawn Partners Limited, a global business development and advisory services firm headquartered in Washington, D.C., where his activity broadened into the venture space with a concentration in satellite communications and network security. In addition to his association with SkyPort Global Communications, Mr. Long is a general partner in Nile Holdings LLC, an Atlanta-based private equity house. Mr. Long is a graduate of the University of Rochester and has completed graduate studies at American University in Washington, D.C., the National Graduate University and the U.S. Naval Justice School in Newport, R.I.
