Jim is currently the Managing Director of Stott & Hoare Business Computers and has 24 years experience within the IT industry, with 14 of those years as a Company Director.Prior to that he worked for the Commonwealth Government of Australia in London responsible for the procurement of Mirage aircraft equipment for the RAAF, he then moved to Honda UK Ltd as supervisor of shipping and distribution.After returning to Australia in 1980 he began his first IT assignment as a Systems Consultant delivering accounting solutions to SMEs.Jim then joined ACI Computers Services (later named Ferntree, GE IT and CSC) and subsequently joined Stott & Hoare in 1989 after achieving the top IBM sales achievement award nationally over the previous seven years.Under Jim's direction, Stott & Hoare has now outperformed numerous suppliers' key targets over the past five years, which has lead to the achievement of various industry excellence awards.Jim has extensive board-level management experience and joins L7 Solutions to play a strategic role in capturing a large share of the WA IT Services market.

Jim was appointed Managing Director of Stott & Hoare in 1996 after serving as Sales Director for the previous seven years.His strengths include Business Management, IT Infrastructure Planning, Logistics and Project Management.

Jim has a proven track record in successfully managing a leading IT Hardware and Services operation, and achieving IBM Business Partner of the Year awards for an unprecedented four consecutive years from 1999 to 2001.He is recognised by senior business and government managers for his ability to align technology solutions within business strategies.His focus on understanding business processes and achieving customer satisfaction with the best available technology and service personnel has resulted in significant reductions in the total cost of IT infrastructure for many organisations.

In recent years Jim has restructured Stott & Hoare to make the transition from hardware reseller to IT service provider by focusing the skills acquired over twenty years as WA's leading IBM Dealer and Microsoft Certified Partner, on providing comprehensive desktop and server technical support services.
