LO Hong Kong Dr. Edward Lo is currently Professor in Dental Public Health in the Faculty of Dentistry in the University of Hong Kong.He has obtained his full academic and specialist training in Hong Kong, including BDS, MDS, and PhD degrees, and FHKAM qualification.He is a honourary professor in a number of major dental schools in mainland China.He is the first John Clarkson Fellow of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) and is currently the President of the IADR Southeast Asian Division.

His research interest is in oral epidemiology, oral health care delivery and clinical trials.He has published over 100 papers, mostly in international refereed journals, and a few book chapters.Dr. Lo has conducted many oral epidemiological surveys on children in various parts of China.He has also carried out a number of clinical trials on new treatment methods for dental caries in children, including topical fluorides, caries arresting treatment, and atraumatic restorative treatment (ART).
