Ronald G. Lloyd
Ronald G. Lloyd, age 67 of 2624 Curved Creek Rd., died Monday, February 6, 2006 at 2 a.m. in his residence.
He was born August 12, 1938 in Deventer, Missouri the son of Ralph Thomas and Frances Marie Thompson Lloyd.On September 2, 1962 he married Sharon Faye Royal in East Prairie, Missouri.She survives.
He graduated Salutatorian in 1956 from East Prairie High School, in 1961 he graduated from the University of Missouri with a masters in Public Administration and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.From 1961 - 1967 he served in the U.S. Air Force as Captain.From 1963-1964 he was Top Secret Control Officer CINCNELM at the U.S. Embassy - London, England, from 1964 - 1966 he was Administrative Officer Air Forces Central Europe, Fontainebleau, France, and Special Services Officer - Seymour Johnson A.F.B..He later became Personnel Director for Montgomery Co., Maryland, retiring in 1979.He also was personnel director for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and for Sharkey Transportation of Quincy.He was currently owner of the Lloyd Personnel Services and a Business Math Instructor at Vatterott College, Quincy.
He had a life long love of Music!He was an accomplished Jazz musician playing piano, bass or trombone for Jazz bands most of his life.He was a sports fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball.He had played basketball and baseball in high school.He loved to golf and play bridge, reading, history, astronomy and biographies.
