   Local 1005's president, Ron Lloyd, is now plastered all over the local media, but normally he'd have about as much public exposure as the average convenience store manager.And he'd probably prefer it that way.
   
   Lloyd, 58, was a mechanic for 17 years, working in bus barns rife with diesel fumes.He traded his blue mechanic's uniform for a dress shirt and tie when he became a union vice president in 1996.Last year, he was elected head of Local 1005.
