The list of potential disasters now has become much scarier, said Joe Lizee, a senior manager at Brulant.
Mr. Lizee said data recovery plans now must be implemented in tandem with business operations plans. Not only is it important to know what data has been backed up and where it has been stored, but it's crucial to be aware of who's in charge of the data and who takes control of it in case something dire happens to that person, Mr. Lizee said.
Brulant is one of several companies and organizations hosting events to discuss what sort of infrastructure and planning should be in place to ensure that data is protected and is adequately backed up.The firm has planned two invitation-only roundtable discussions for next month with more than a dozen Northeast Ohio business executives.
