With a broad technical career spanning 35 years of systems development; software and network systems consulting and design; and systems implementation and integration, Hal brings an extensive background in architecting and managing complex software system development projects to Troux. This includes comprehensive hands-on technical experience in all aspects of network and systems integration, including 18 years writing networking software and 5 years developing and deploying Internet software applications.
Prior to joining Troux, Hal was a Director at Dell Computer Corporation where he helped define next generation strategy and technology for the Dell eCommerce website. Hal was also responsible for performing technical due diligence on Dell Ventures investments for the $5 Billion Dell Public Sector business unit. Before Dell, Hal was VP Professional Services for Acuity Corporation where he led the implementation efforts for the company's Internet-based customer relationship offerings. Before that, Hal held a variety of technical executive management roles in the software development, professional services and engineering areas at companies in the telecommunications, network systems and network hardware markets.
Hal is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Air Force, 1985, having spent the majority of his 20-year Air Force career in systems development or deployment roles.
Hal holds a Ph.D. in Computing Science from Texas A&M University, a M.S. in Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, a M.S. in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
