We are pleased to offer private swimming class with world class swimmer and instructor: Abi Liu.Abi Liu is a former member of the Chinese National swimming team, and the winner of FINA world cup (1993).She was Coach of the Pacific Swimming All Star Game (2002), and has over ten years of experience in teaching swimming to adults and children.

Abi Liu - Age Group CoachGoing into her 7th season at DACA, Coach Liu continues to combine her rich competitive swimming experience and her study of human kinetics into her training.Liu loves to work with young swimmers to help them establish a foundation of technique, and encourages them to pursue swimming as a lifelong sport.

As a former member of the Chinese National Team, Liu hopes her passion for swimming will motivate her swimmers to achieve their personal goals.As a result, Liu's swimmers have achieved: Junior Olympic Champions, Far Western Champions, Western Zone Champions, Outstanding Swimmers of Pacific Swimming, National Age Group Top 16 Rankings and National Age Group Record Holder.

Coach Liu will graduate from San Jose State University in December 2005 with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Movement Science.As a part of her continued education, Liu is a certified level 3 coach from American Swimming Coaches Association.

2006 is Abi's first season with the PASA team, and we're excited to have her on board.As Abi starts her first season with PASA, she is eager to bring her rich experience and study in Kinesiology to her swimmers.As a former Chinese National Team member, she competed internationally, including winning the FINA world cup in 1993, earned silver medal in the Asia Games in 1994.

Abi has been coaching for over ten years, her passion for swimming has a great impact on her coaching, and she enjoys seeing the smiles on her swimmers' faces when they achieved their personal goals.

Abi is a certified ASCA level 4 coach.
