    Dr. Wangen Lin / Director of Research and TechnologyLin,s primary responsibility is to align EWI,s research and technology vision with the company business strategy.Prior to joining EWI, Lin was a Corporate Fellow at Pratt & Whitney (P&W), where he provided materials joining strategy and vision to P&W senior management.Prior to joining P&W, Lin was a Principal Engineer at EWI, where he developed a series of technologies for quantifying materials weldability and avoiding welding-related cracking.Lin has received numerous awards, including the Granjon Award from the International Institute of Welding (IIW) for the best research paper in the world, and the Masubuchi-Shinsho Award from AWS for making significant contributions to the advancement of welding.Lin has authored/co-authored over 45 technical papers and presentations and owns a U.S. patent.He holds an M.B.A. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Ph.D. in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University, a M.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from the National Taiwan Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the National Chung Hsing University.
