    Dr. Sung Kyu Lim received B.S. (1994), M.S. (1997), and Ph.D. (2000) degrees all from the Computer Science Department of University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).During 2000-2001, he was a post-doctoral scholar at UCLA, and a senior engineer at Aplus Design Technologies, Inc.He joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology as an assistant professor in August 2001 and the College of Computing as an adjunct assistant professor in September 2002.He is currently the director of the Georgia Tech Computer Aided Design Laboratory.Dr. Lim's research focus is on the physical design automation for 3D circuits, 3D System-On-Packages, microarchitectural physical planning, Field Programmable Analog Arrays, and Quantum Cell Automata.

    Dr. Lim has been on the advisory board of the Special Interest Group on Design Automation, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) since 2003.He has been a senior member of IEEE since 2005.He has served the technical program committee of IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, ACM Great Lakes Symposium on VLSI, IEEE International Conference on Computer Design, ACM International Symposium on Physical Design, and ACM/IEEE Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference.He has been awarded a Design Automation Conference Graduate Scholarship in 2003 and a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award in 2006.
