Carol Liffman joined the Group Technology Projects Risk Management Team in January following five years on the GOM Atlantis Project where she held several lead roles in project services. Carol's experience in risk management is informed by her broad background in the energy industry. Immediately prior to joining Atlantis, she worked with oil majors as a senior manager in the Energy Consulting Practice at Arthur Andersen's Houston office.

Her entry into the industry was through geoscience. Carol's work in stratigraphy and structural geology includes on-the-ground studies in frontier areas of Columbia, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina and Pakistan. Carol has an MBA from the University of Houston, an MS in Geology from the University of Cincinnati, and a BA in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago; as well as two years of additional graduate work at the University of Texas at Austin.
