Jimmy Liang

Head chef Jimmy Liang, who is 60 and has been a chef for over 40 years, grew up in Taiwan and, before coming to this country 20 years ago, was chef for the Grande Hotel on Yuen San Road in Taiwan for over 15 years.

When Liang came to the United States, he went to work as chef for Empire Szechuan in New York City. He is part owner of the restaurant.

Liang, who was a friend of one of Siew's business partners, agreed to be chef for Dynasty Szechuan when it opened in Danbury in 1992.

Liang has been working as chef for Robert Siew ever since.
