Ms. Lewis is a shareholder at the firm.Her practice areas include Employment Disputes, Commercial Disputes, Insurance Insolvency and Special Master Services.She is the co-author of "When Back Pay Is Only One of Several Kinds," featured in The National Law Journal in 2003.In 2006, the Philadelphia Legal Intelligencer named Ms. Lewis as a woman "On the Verge" in the legal community.In addition, Ms. Lewis was selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2006 in the area of employment litigation defense.
In the area of Employment Disputes, Ms. Lewis recently has defended the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority ("SEPTA") in a series of race discrimination and retaliation cases brought by SEPTA employees.For example, in 2005, after a four-day trial, a jury returned a unanimous verdict in favor of SEPTA on claims of race discrimination and retaliation brought by a former lieutenant of the SEPTA Transit Police Department.In addition, Ms. Lewis counsels clients on compliance issues and affirmative action policies.
Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Ms. Lewis was an associate in the Commercial Litigation Department of a large Philadelphia firm.Ms. Lewis also served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, where she tried hundreds of preliminary hearings and bench trials.
While attending the Harvard Law School, Ms. Lewis was a member of the Trial Moot Court Team and participated in the National Criminal Justice Trial Advocacy Competition of the American Bar Association.She was also an editor on the Black Letter Law Journal and served as the Annual Conference Co-Chair and Historian for the Black Law Students Association.Additionally, Ms. Lewis was a research editor for Archibald Cox: Conscience of a Nation, authored by Professor Kenneth Gormley.

While at the University of Pittsburgh, the University honored Ms. Lewis for her academic and public service accomplishments by naming her "Senior of the Year" and inscribing her name on the University walkway.She was also a Rhodes Scholar semi-finalist.
Ms. Lewis is an associate minister and serves on the legal staff of the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.She is also a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Philadelphia Bar Associations, the National Bar Association and the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia.
