Howard Levy - was born and raised in New York City.He received his Masters of Arts in Creative Writing from City University of New York and was a recipient of a New York State Artists Public Service Award in Poetry.He has taught for many years and wrote education exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and also taught at the Museum of Modern Art.In the 70s, Levy founded Artists Teaching, a company using a group of interdisciplinary artists (poets, dancers, musicians, painters) to teach in museums throughout New York State.He now works in business.Levy's poetry has appeared in numerous literary magazines, including Poetry, The American Poetry Review, The Paris Review, and The Threepenny Review.He has been a member of the resident faculty at the Frost Place Poetry Festival.A DAY THIS LIT is his first collection of poems.
