A. Jim Levy, Chair, Joint Rules Committee (JRC), CSL

Levy was elected JRC chair in October.He was asked to speak to the Commission about CSL,s purpose and future goals.Levy stated that the CCoA was the organization that started the CSL in 1979.The CSL members represent the entire state, listen to the grass roots concerns, put together proposals, and then come together annually in October to prioritize these proposals.The priority proposals are taken to Legislators to become bills.Levy remarked that CCoA and CSL are both interested in improving the quality of life for seniors and if we both work together in a spirit of cooperation with TACC and each other, we can make things happen.
