   PROFESSIONAL INTEREST/EXPERIENCE:Dan LeVeque is currently the President of Gundlach Champion, Inc.He has been with the firm for over thirty-three years.In this time he served in the capacity of Project Manager, Estimator, Vice President of Operations and was named President in May of 1996.Dan began his career with Gundlach Champion, Inc. as a Laborer while attending Michigan Technological University.

   COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:Dan LeVeque has served as Board Member to the Michigan Association of Contractors for five years and also acted in the capacity of Treasurer, Vice President and President to this State Board.LeVeque was a member of the State Construction Association's Finance and Budget Committee and served on numerous panels to promote the industry throughout the State of Michigan.Dan was a member of the Advisory Committee for the Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon County Intermediate School Districts.He has been instrumental in developing relationships between the construction industry and the local school districts in an effort to "educate the educators" on the advantages of a career in the construction industry.
   
   EDUCATION:Dan attended Michigan Technological University and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

   GCI president, Dan LeVeque, a 34-year Gundlach veteran continues this innovation with new markets, new geographies, and by offering services far beyond what you find in a typical construction company.
   
   "For the past 10 years, we've positioned ourselves to seek out projects and clients-instead of waiting for them to come us," LeVeque said.

   "We began to offer more services common to a Design/Builder and CM," LeVeque said."It was our way of staying ahead of the curve-and now we find we're leading the way with some unique approaches in Michigan and other states.I think we're really making a difference out there."
   
   GCI's growth is evidenced by their Wisconsin offices in Eau Claire and Marshfield and the planning of a Minneapolis office.
   
   "Traditionally, we've been a rural-oriented company, but we're finding that our brand of client service is welcome in the urban areas as well," LeVeque said.
