After a number of senior positions with Exxon in the United States, he transferred to Hong Kong in 1983 as vice president for Agricultural Chemicals and Financial Services for Exxon Chemical Asia Pacific. In 1985, he was named executive vice president responsible for Agricultural Chemicals, Aromatics, Olefins, Plastics, Engineering, Feed/Fuels and the financial functions. He was appointed New Business Ventures vice president for Exxon Chemical's Performance Products Business Group based in Darien, Connecticut in 1987. In 1990, Levowitz was appointed vice president Polyethylene, Polyolefins Americas, Exxon Chemical Company. Prior to his most recent appointment, he was commercial manager, Polyethylene Americas, ExxonMobil Chemical Company, a position he has held since 2002. -
