"I am excited to bring new ideas, new leadership and a new energy to serve the citizens of this dynamic District.I will be out in the community listening to and learning from my neighbors about the issues of greatest concern to them. Then, I will work diligently to turn their words into action as an active member of the Legislature," Levitas declared.

Kevin remarked: "I have always been one to provide solutions to problems, not just words, and I am highly motivated to bring help and an improved quality of life to my neighbors through active, quality leadership."
Kevin noted that several challenges face the new district, including improving traffic conditions and increasing pedestrian safety; enhancing the quality of education through reduced class size and by early development of test-taking skills; increasing and improving green spaces; halting steep and unpredictable increases in property taxes; protecting the public from drunk drivers and from crime in their neighborhoods; and ensuring that seniors receive sufficient assistance from governmental services to allow them to remain in their own homes.
"Given my experience with both federal and county government and my appreciation of the challenges facing both businesses and families in our community, I believe that I am uniquely qualified to represent the needs of residents throughout this great area," Levitas said.
