Ned Levine, Crest View Elementary Principal, will be unveiling the much-needed new bike racks.

"Our bike racks are overflowing.Everybody at Crest View loves the Freiker program and the extra encouragement it provides to students to bike to school," said Levine.

Ned is in his fourth decade as a professional educator.During this time he has been a building administrator, a district curriculum director, a director of Talented and Gifted programs, a teacher of the gifted and talented, and a classroom teacher in grades K-8 and High School GED.He has also taught at the college level, where he was a department chair for Teacher Certification.Mr. Levine has also served as an educational and human resource development consultant.Some of his clients include the National Academy of Sciences, the Smithsonian Institute, the National Science Foundation, and Mitsubishi.

Principal Ned Levine said the school learned of her death late Tuesday morning and sent home notes for parents of all second-graders.Teachers and administrators planned to discuss her death with students today, with counselors on hand.

Levine said the bright, bubbly girl, popular with so many in the school, would be sorely missed.

"She was really a sweetheart," he said.
