Amy L. Levine is an associate in the communications and information technology practice groups, with a focus on communications regulatory matters.
Ms. Levine has experience representing broadcast clients on issues ranging from the transition to digital television, spectrum auctions and management, compliance with the Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act, political broadcasting, and content matters.She also advises clients about the FCC,s regulation of cable and new competitors to cable such as open video systems and multichannel video distribution and data service, as well as on lottery, contest, and sweepstakes promotions and advertising both over the air and on the Internet.Her work includes advising journalists and legislators about international public information laws.
Ms. Levine received her B.A. in Political Science and International Studies, magna cum laude, from Yale University in 1993.She received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 1998, where she was Essays Editor of the Yale Law Journal.Following law school, she clerked for Chief Judge Jerry Buchmeyer in the Northern District of Texas.
Prior to law school, Ms. Levine worked as a legislative aide to Senator J. Bennett Johnston.
