Ellis Levin has more than 30 years' experience in public accounting and business consulting.At Ten Eyck Associates (now FTI Ten Eyck), he specializes in accounting, tax, real estate-related consulting and investigative services.Mr. Levin also performs damages analyses for litigation consulting engagements and conducts corporate internal investigations.

Mr. Levin previously served with national and regional accounting firms, performing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services for a broad range of clients, including Fortune 100 companies, not-for-profit organizations, family-owned businesses, and governmental entities.He also served as chief financial officer for two real estate development and management firms, where his responsibilities included coordinating property management activities and supervising all accounting, tax, and financial reporting.He worked closely with lenders and attorneys on troubled properties, restructurings, and projects in Chapter 11.

With a national accounting firm for several years, Mr. Levin provided a full range of services to clients in the real estate industry and advised other clients on real estate-related matters.These services included engagement management for real estate developers, managers, and syndicators; tax planning and compliance concentrating on real estate and partnership matters; financial and tax consulting related to distressed real estate projects; financial reporting for complex real estate transactions; due diligence for acquisitions; and tax and financial structuring for real estate transactions, real estate investment partnerships, hotels, and health care projects.Mr. Levin also participated in engagements to value loan portfolios for FSLIC, the FDIC, and the Rhode Island DEPCO.

Mr. Levin's assignments have included consulting and expert witness services in accountants' malpractice litigation, directors and officers claims and litigation, SEC investigations, and performing corporate internal investigations, primarily related to allegations of improper accounting practices, for companies in a variety of industries.

Mr. Levin is a member of the AICPA, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Accounting Research Association, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Home Builders Association, and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.He served as an officer or director of several community and professional associations.Mr. Levin also regularly presents continuing education seminars for accountants and attorneys on real estate-related accounting, auditing and taxation topics.He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a B.A. degree in accounting and finance.
