DAVID LEVIN NAMED DIRECTOR, INTERNET MARKETING, BMG DISTRIBUTION
New York, December 15, 2000 -- David Levin has been named Director, Internet Marketing, BMG Distribution, it was announced today by Rick Bleiweiss, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Branch Operations, for the company.

In his new role, Levin will oversee BMG Distribution's online marketing efforts with its retail account base.He will develop marketing programs to create awareness for Digital Music Downloading sales, and to maximize synergies between the physical and virtual retail environments.Levin will also explore cross marketing opportunities with major online and offline brands.In addition, a regional Internet Marketing team will be established under Levin to serve the retail account base and to explore local prospects.
"David's creativity, knowledge, flexibility and professionalism are an exact fit for this position, in which, he will report directly to me and also report to Sami Valkonen, Vice President, Business Development, for the company.David will work closely with Sami's department as a member of his New Media team," said Bleiweiss.

Levin most recently served as Director, Database Marketing for GetMusic, BMG's online music content and commerce joint venture.In this position, he was responsible for the company's direct marketing strategy as well as their offline promotional efforts.Levin also developed and managed GetMusic's first significant offline promotion with General Mills.From 1992 to 1999, he served in several marketing capacities with BMG Distribution's branch and national offices in New York, most recently as their Database Marketing Manager and initially as a College Marketing Representative.
Levin received his Masters degree in Business Administration from Rutgers University in 1998.
