Jan Lederman has extensive experience in corporate and commercial matters with emphasis on project development, corporate financings, debt, equity and venture capital investment transactions and strategic deal planning. Jan has provided advice to entrepreneurs, closely held corporations and partnerships, public companies, governments, universities and Crown corporations on matters ranging from corporate structure and deal structure to financings and governance.
Jan is experienced in project development, ranging from the formation, organization and operation of community development and renewal projects to hydro-electric mega projects. She has extensive experience in developing innovative development structures and strategically planning negotiations with multiple stakeholder groups.
Jan's experience extends to conducting consultations and negotiating partnership and co-investment arrangements with First Nations and other Aboriginal groups.
Jan was called to the Bar in 1978. She practised with Simkin Gallagher until 1993 when she joined Thompson Dorfman Sweatman as a partner. In 1996 she left practice to join a venture capital firm where she focussed on raising capital and doing investment deals.
