David P. Lederman received his law degree from the University of Florida in 1996. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1991. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. Lederman was an environmental engineer with the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management (DERM). In 1996, Mr. Lederman worked with the Florida Senate Committee on Transportation and with U.S. Senator Bob Graham's office in Tallahassee. Currently, Mr. Lederman is a member of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Planning, Zoning and Growth Management Committee and Transportation Committee, a member of the Latin Builders' Association, a member of the Florida Bar's Environmental and Land Use Law Section and a member of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources.
Mr. Lederman concentrates his practice in zoning, land use, real estate and environmental issues. He has worked with administrative staff and elected officials on a variety of issues relating to residential, commercial multi-use and industrial development, including re-zonings, comprehensive development master plan designation changes, Development of Regional Impact (DRI) applications, NOPCs, DRI thresholds and status, applications and presentations before the Miami-Dade County Community Council Boards, County Commission, City of Miami's Zoning Board, Planning Advisory Board and City Commission. Mr. Lederman has extensive experience performing due diligence research and analysis for purchases and developments of office, commercial, industrial and residential projects. Additionally, Mr. Lederman has worked on appeals of administrative decisions on zoning matters to the 11th Circuit Court's appellate division and the Third District Court of Appeal.
