Gwendolyn LeClair, the founder and owner of Perfect Sixes, got a rather unusual start in sewing and design.
Her career began in the Canadian Armed Forces over 15 years ago, specializing in safety systems, which include items related to parachuting, aircraft and pilot safety equipment, deep immersion suits, and artic survival wear.Lives depended upon the preciseness and quality of her work. Her sewing ability also had to stand the test of risking her own life on it!
In this demanding and exacting environment Gwendolyn excelled. She has worked on special designs for the U.S. military, and designed and created award winning changes for the Canadian Armed Forces that have helped save the lives of our soldiers and are still in use today.
These days you'll find Gwen living at her resort in northern Ontario, raising her two figure skating children, sitting on the executive of a local skating club, volunteering many hours to the figure skating world, and working on various fund raising projects to support figure skating.
