A memorial mass for Earl L. LeClair, 85, of Leominster, Mass., will be 8 a.m. Saturday in the old St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
He died Jan. 27, 2003, at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster.
He was born June 2, 1917, in Ellenburg, N.Y., the son of George and Olive LeClair.He moved to Leominster with his family at age 5.He worked for Magnus Metal in Fitchburg, Mass., for many years and in 1962 was transferred and promoted to plant superintendent at NL Industries in Fremont where he retired in 1980.He lived in Fremont for 34 years before returning to Leominster in 1996.
While in Fremont, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, the Eagles and the Senior Bowling League.He was an excellent cook, renowned by family and friends for his spaghetti sauce.He was an avid Husker fan, enjoyed eating out, gardening and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
