   Suzanne A. Lebold, Ph.D., is currently the Director of the Strategic and Scientific Assessment group within Global Pharmaceutical Licensing and New Business Development at Abbott Laboratories. Her team is focused on the identification and evaluation of new opportunities to augment and provide new growth platforms for Abbott's global pharmaceutical business. Prior to joining Abbott Laboratories in 1991, Dr. Lebold received a Bachelor's Degree (A.B.) in Chemistry from Wellesley College, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Northwestern University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. After five years in pharmaceutical research, she joined Technology Assessment within the Pharmaceutical Products Division, supporting the pharmaceutical licensing and acquisitions / business development groups as well as technology licensing. Dr. Lebold then moved to New Business Development within Abbott's Hospital Products Division, where she was involved in the execution of strategic initiatives supporting the hospital business sector. Prior to her current position, Dr. Lebold held a commercial role as the Director of the Intensive Care and Cardiovascular Hospital Pharmaceutical Business Unit.
