In addition to celebrating the organization's recent accomplishments CEO André LeBel discussed the re-engineering of SOCAN's licensing department by 2007, to maximize efficiency and tariff fee collection; the use of digital audio identification so that radio stations in major markets will now report on a census basis, improving accuracy; and an upcoming initiative on the SOCAN website that will allow members to track the state of their royalties both before and after they are distributed.

SOCAN executives André LeBel, Kent Sturgeon and France Lafleur, along with regional SOCAN staff, met with hundreds of our members in Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax June 21, 22 and 23 respectively.
